SNOW AND ICE REPORTSnow and Ice Report February 9 2019
More snow and warming temperatures means more slush out there. Maybe park those sleds a little away from where you are drilling holes in the ice.
Looks like Lake Superior is headed for a full freeze over with thick ice from Thunderbay to Nipigon Bay and out to the barrier islands. Medium ice throughout the region and some thinner ice forming quickly. Very little open water out there.
Hows the fishing?
Inland lakes for brook trout, walleye and splake reports are good.
Whitefish on Superior seems to be completely hit or completely miss.
Lake Trout are picking up. Jesse Lake opens for Lake Trout on February 15th.
